I had my car's indiglo gauge change at ****LINE makati...then I noticed that my fuel gauge is not accurate as it was before I changed my indiglo gauge...Since I know the gas consumption of my car I am quite sure that if i travel from point A to point B I know the needle on the fuel gauge will drop to a certain point..but hell no it just moved down a bit..but when I got into the car the fuel needle dropped dramatically..
Just like yesterday..the gauge reads it still has 10% of it then I went to a gas station and add 100 petot of gas since its just a short trip..and I noticed my gauge went up +30%..and the weird thing is I traveled far knowing that an additional 100 petot of gasoline will not take me..
It scares me that if I drive for a long distance my car would just stop in the middle of the road because it does not have gas anymore..
At first I really thought it just need some time to calibrate itself...but after 2 mos its still the same..I want to suck empty the car's tank so i would really know if the reading is accurate..

I need help from you guys..please advise what to do..TIA!

you should have brought your car back to where you had your gauges changed the first time you noticed your fuel gauge isn't pointing at the right fuel level.

by saying that you changed you indiglo gauge, did you mean you changed the whole instrument panel? if yes, does it have warranty? if it have warranty, then, to avoid additional expenses, you really should return it to your shitty shop.

I just had mine installed 2 weeks ago, tapos nung binalik yung gauge, yung sa fuel indicator ko, lower than when I had it changed. Pero, when I topped up my tank, umakyat naman, and its been acting normally.

Try to top up, then observe the needle. Sa casa, they can try to re-install and re-calibrate your gauge.

See if reverting back to your original gauge will fix the problem, and if it does, then the indiglo gauges have something that needs fixing before it can be properly installed on your car again.

I had the same problem before.

So, tinanggal nila yung needle, then dahan-dahan binalik hanggang "ma-feel" (I'm not sure about this) daw nila yung "tension" ng needle.

Ok na sya ngayon. Baka nadiinan lang. To be safe, balik mo sa pinagpa-installan mo. Or kung malakas loob mo, baklasin mo yung gauge cluster, dahan-dahanin mo i-pull yung needle.

Just sharing a similar problem which occured after replacing the bulbs in the panel. Maybe some of you have read my thread in the Goods Squad section.

Anyway, I had the fuel gauge assembly replaced. After nun akala ko ok na. By that time mga 3/4 pa laman na gas. Everything seems to be ok (gauge is normal) until I had a full tank. After nun erratic na naman ung gauge especially when I make turns. I'm thinking pag dating nya ng 3/4 ulit baka bumalik sa normal (hopefully). Might be the floater this time. Ewan ko ba.

This all started with replacing the bulbs in the panel.

Fuel gauge not ACCURATE?! > need help!
