January 19th, 2003 11:36 PM #4My car also has a leak under the engine. Near the junction of the engine and the transmission. Saan kaya nanggagaling iyon ? Oil Seal kaya ?

January 20th, 2003 02:49 PM #5i tried using engine degreaser (bought sa ace hardware) and soap and water. Nang malinis na saka start engine, then look where the oil leak is coming from. Kaso yung crankshaft oil seal ata, kailangan tanggalin ang timing belt cover kasi nasa likod siya ng timing belt.

anyway, i think u shud check the ff: valve cover gasket, crankshaft oil seal and the oil pan gasket. one of them might be the culprit. hth!

January 22nd, 2003 11:59 AM #9karlo,
deng kung cylinder head gasket lang eh pwede na DIY na dyan. All you need is the gasket (baka mga 500) plus silicon sealant. Kung gusto mo sabay mo na rin gaskets to the sparkplugs.
Goodluck!
