    ask ko lang po mga sir...
    kasi pansin yung sasakyan ko kapag nasa medyo mabilis nako
    at bibilisan ko pa konti kapag tapak ko sa gas pedal meron
    ako naririnig na kalansig sa makina eh, tapos parang ang
    bagal ng response ng acceleration. parang kulang sa hatak.

    normal lang po ba ito?
    anu anu kaya mga problema dito?

    hindi pa sya napapalitan ng timing belt 85T na po

    4afe engine. kung dipa napalitan timing belt mo don't worry too much,Ang regular interval nyan 100k kms,iirc.kung wala kapang budget pang palit ng TB okey lang din yan kahIt mapatid ang TB ng 4afe,I'ts non interference engine.

    Regarding noise in the engine,saan ba nanggaling yung noise?Do you think sa inside ng engine?it could be worn engine support.Kaylaan yung hulin mong tune up and oil change? your engine might be knocking,who knows.Hirap pag di makita yung auto ng actual.

    Also check timing, spark plug conditions, air/fuel mixture.

    Since 1997 pa yung car baka kailangan na palitan timing belt, pero double check sa car manual, sa iba kasi nakalagay 100k or 5 years, whichever comes first.

    during acceleration ba? baka tope lang? usual for AE101...

    85k kms? palit ka na rin pala ng timing belt mo... sulit ka na dyan.

    sure po kayo sir na non interference sya? kala ko po kasi lahat ng naka timing belt kapag napatid overhaul ang engine...

    ty po sa mga reply... naghahanap na rin po ako ng timing belt pampalit.
    saka che-check ko na rin ung spark plugs nya. engine oil ok pa, mapula pa sya

    I'm POSITIVE non interference ang 4afe engine.Kahit mapatid ang timing belt mo walang masisira sa engine mo(i.e. bent valve,pistons).

    kung during acceleration, baka naman you're upshifting at low rpm's? try shifting around 2.5k to 3k obserbahan mo wala yan. pa timing mo na rin kung may time ka. also try higher octane fuel, if you don't mind the extra cost... timing lang siguro and proper shifting di mo na maririnig yan.

    nag shishift kasi ako about 2k-2.5k rpm
    fuel ko unleaded lang from shell medyo smooth kasi
    yoko ng unleaded ng petron parang gigil eh

    Parang lunod? Pumapalya?

    Pa-compression test ka kaya pag hindi gumana yung mga sa taas.

    Pano kung walang load, anong nangyayari pag naka neutral tapos pina ikot mo lang til mga 4000-5000RPM, lunod din ba?

    sir kapag hindi sa gas pedal ko ni rev (sa engine mismo, nakabukas hood), ok naman eh, pinong pino ang revolution nya, ndi pumapalya.

    napansin ko lang kasi ung string medyo maluwag eh.
    di kaya sa string un?

    In street terms:

    Non-interference - engine parts will not interfere with each other in case timing belt breaks. The valves will not crash onto the pistons, etc.

    Interference - opposite of above

    Btw, majority of today's engines are of the interference type.
