want to know how cud we make old engine working quietly and efficiently just like new engine...what are the things to be consider like over haulling, tune up, what else? say your advice & opinion here sir!!!

February 12th, 2007 07:28 PM #4as long as you follow the "blue print" of the engine you are rebuilding and use the right specs materials/parts for it it should behave the same as it were brand new.

February 12th, 2007 08:33 PM #5You need to measure the clearances, dis-assemble the parts, and measure the dimensions of those parts that wears.
You need to have the parts and clearances within the acceptable tolerances and ensure their mechanical integrity.
You really need a shop manual to be able to do this.
