Engine Coolant

mga sir,
pahingi naman ng pointers in flushing the radiator...
like should it be done when the engine is cold or leave the engine OFF or ON, etc.

Try Pitt Penn radiator flush, it worked really well for me... and it's quite cheap too, mga 130 ata per bottle... I used 2 bottles dahil luma na sobra car ko... ginawa ko i flushed the original water out through the lower radiator hose para pati water sa block tanggal... it was really brown... then balik ko yung hose, refilled with water, ran the engine for 5 mins or so then drain again, dumi padin... repeated until the water was clear...

Then i added one bottle of rad flush, used as directed, pag flush mas madumi pa kesa dun sa first flush!!! then rinsed with water and reflushed... siguro mga 2x ko ginawa ang water flush after using the radiator flush... Until the water was crystal clear... then used another bottle of rad flush... followed instructions, this time, very, very minimal nalang ang dumi... then filled it up with water only... used the car for like 3 months, malinis padin yung water...

The reasons why I didn't use coolant right away are because:

1) May tagas pa konti radiator ko dati so sayang lang coolant
2) My upper radiator hose was soft.
3) I have to replace my heater bypass plug.

Now that ok na sya lahat, I'll drain the water and use coolant and distilled h20 na... Planning to use Castrol coolant mixed with some water pump lube. May water wetter ba dito sa pinas?
