no need to bleed after changing fuel filter. Not sure with rubber hose but I dont think so.

Make sure that fuel hose tight and secured and also make sure also you installed the fuel filter correctly (see the flow direction). If everything is okey then "turn the key on and off" (on only do not start) several times to get the fuel pump working. Again, do not engage the starter, just cycle the key. Actually this is what they called circulating the fuel back to the tanks and takes the air with it.

Make sure also that you have a fully charge battery if doing this cause a low battery wont do well even with a jump start. As long as the fuel pump good, you should be able to start the car.

Is this for the same car?

The mechanical pump lever on the pump is actuated by the camshaft that moves a diaphragm up and down creating suction on the line. In your case there is no need to bleed the mechanical, if your fuel system operating correctly the line from the pump to the carb should have pressure in it. Use the old way, like " Pump, Pump then start... gas pedal push in about quarter down. Tanong mo sa mga oldie driver ( mga lolo na dating driver) sila ang magagaling nito.

waht if yung fuel pump hindi na umaandar kapag nag "on" yung key?
    anu mangyayari?
pano kaya nangyari na ayaw na gumana?

for electric pumps, they should start working at the on position. efi engines need fuel in the injectors prior to starting.

what i experience kasi during cold starts is this, parang hirap ang makina na magrev.

    here is my sequence
    - start, eng eng etc (starter motor)
    - broooom (apak sa gas) WOT ko DAPAT regardless of the abient temp mga 3x - 4x during cold start, or else dug dug dug dug and maririning ko
    - first WOT after startup, the tach will only register a high of 2000 rpm. engine sound is bug bug bug
    - second WOT still 2000. engine sound is still bug bug bug.
    - third WOT... pag sinuwerte, I can already redline (exaggerately speaking of course). pero at this time, maganda na ang tunog ng makina.

take note din, na once i reach the good engine rev, if i stop the engine, i can now have a good start... meaning wala na akong bug bug bug at WOT, kahit cold pa ang makina.

now, what do i need to check here? startup lang naman ang problema ko.

    here are my existing conditions:
    - good accelerator pump... very nice squirts are seen inside
    - good idle up durinng cold (i am reving to around 1,2k when cold, then down to 900 when operating temp. 900 stays consistent throughout the journey.
    - good fuel pump
    - good float level
    - no gasket leaks
    - new plugs/filters/oil

so far, i have already ran 1000 km from the change oil and the plugs came out to be good... no fouling from oil or fuel, which means i have a good seal and a/f mixture. most probably, i also have a good sparc since i have a good set of plugs.

Okey! So your car is near very good condition except Cold start problem specially in the morning.

Here the things that need to look at.

    Q. Engine start pero namamatay?
    (*Probable answer.)
    * Maaring yong choke ay hindi gaanong nagsasara. Tingnan mo yong choke adjustment for something binding. E-adjust mo kung maaari.

    * Maaari ding may vacuum leak somewhere.

Just make sure that yong level ng float ay factory specs.

the only fuel lines that need to be bled are in diesel engines.
