I met w/ an old classmate of mine who works for one of the Big 3 oil refiners (I won't mention the company for anonymity). We had a long chit-chat and eventually, our conversation drifted to the fuel depot of the big 3 in Pandacan. What he told me surprised me and confirmed what some of us thought all along...
sabi nya, with the current move of the Manila government to phase out the depot and storage tanks in Pandacan, the big 3 are now sharing storage tanks for their diesel, and gasoline stocks. meaning, the diesel/gasoline fuel of the big 3 is taken from a common tank so there's no differentiation. :whoa:
What they do is just add their additives afterwards, so they can sell it now under their respective brand names for diesel and gasoline.

I dunno how acccurate is this, but this classmate of mine was assigned to the fuels division... so I guess he's a very credible information source.

wish I could verify this with chemical analysis but am not equipped. :bald:
