ingat lang po sa pag-gamit ng oil catch can dami na kasi akong nabasa nasira ang engine dahil dito, gusto ko rin sana lagyan ang frontier ko kaso nagbago na ang isip ko nung nakabasa ako ng mga negative results ng oil catch.

sir ano yung mga negative results na nakita ninyo?

di ko na matandaan sir pero google mo na lang madami kang mababasa may positive at negative results pero dun na ako sa medyo safe kaya di ako gagamit ng oil catch, malay natin yung ibang nakaranas ng di maganda di na lang nagpost ng experience nila sa oil catch can.

dieseldude narhhhirapan n po kc humatak yung adventure diesel 2003 mdl ko kakachange ko lng nman. nilinis ko n yung filter s makina pati fuel filter nilinis ko n rin pati air filter nilinis ko n rin. pag nag accelerate k parang puro gas lng parang nahihirapan yung makina.

Pero, replace fuel filter muna......... di naman mahal yan.

need your usual help here.my nissan urvan homy td27 turbo engine unit suddenly emits white smoke.first time na nangyari so itinigil ng driver ko yun van then pinatay na nya ang engine.hinatak na lang namin pauwi ng garage to prevent big damages.then my i was instructed by one mechanic na ipacheck ko yung injection pump coz of possible injector issue.
injection pump was pull down,and clean and calibrated.nozzle was also check and clean.still when we test meron pa din white smoke.
the van had no overheat before nag emit ng white smoke,and very minimal ang oil consumption,ok naman ang andar ng engine at one click pag start.

Turbo could be leaking oil.

sir diesel dude,

i blew a cylinder head gasket. found oil in my radiator and my engine oil dipstick's color is gray.

should i overhaul the injection pump as well since its lubricant is contaminated with the engine's oil/water mixture as well?

Pump overhaul is not really necessary.

Btw, what is your engine?

sir mejo OT lang useful ba ang oil catch can for our 4M40? what are the advantages and disadvantages of using this?

Sir this is what happen to my intercooler with out catch can ........but i would like to remind you i run my engine hard on road and offroad.

Oils is visible inside the intercooler making it inefficient in cooling down the compress air and found a sticky gunk in the pipes................oil catch can will prevent this to happen and our inter cooler should not have oil inside. I havent heard any problem resulting from using an oil catch can and im using one on my truck too.

Pump overhaul is not really necessary.

Btw, what is your engine?

engine is a daewoo dc24.
checked out the cylinder head, may leak daw. will try to bring it to a more reputable shop for repair.

Leaks are most often due to a blown/burnt head gasket.

Warps are easy to repair through deck resurfacing. Cracks are difficult. Ask the machine shop for warranty if they will perform a crack repair.

Small amounts of oil in the intercooler is normal.

Ilan cylinders ba ang engine mo? Yan din ang bilang ng nozzles.

Possible poor compression ito. Hard starting din ba? One click lang po kahit nga ata two week siya hindi nagagamit

Magpa compression test ka para makasigurado. Saan po ba kayo may marecommend dito banda south luzon particularly Lipa city.

Just for info lang sir DD, my car is XUV 2003 MT and still can run up to 150kph at 450rpm and fuel consumtion is ave of 13km/lit sometimes 15 if more on hi-way. Worry ko lang po baka kapag pina compression test ko eh tapos hindi ba pala competent yon gagawa kung ano pa mangyari.
