ang glowplugs ba gumagana lang sa initial start? or hinihintay pa niya uminit yung engine? kung sira ang temp gauge mo will this cause your glowplugs to be always ON?.

What usually causes stalling sa floods:
- water ingestion on the intake side
- electricals get wet/shorted
Diesels generally have less electricals over gas engines AFAIK so the best is to just be aware of how your engine layout is on electricals and air intake so you can always gauge the floods.

Glow plugs help engines to start in low temperatures. It glows continuously until air temperature in the engine cylinders is high enough to ensure self-ignition of the fuel sprayed into the combustion chamber.
Probably if you have broken temp gauges it'll continue its glowing. Or siguro meron yung thermostat para mag auto-off.. I'm not really that knowledgeable about diesels...
Peace... ;)

Glow plugs are "only used when starting a cold engine initially". After that wala nang ginagawa ang glow plugs unless you stop the engine and restart it but all depends on how good the compression state of the engine kasi if you have good compression then no need for glow plugs as next engine startup.............
Sir PROMDIBOY yung temp gauge kahit po masira will not cause the glow plugs to be continously ON. May tinatawag po tayong Glow Plug relay that triggers the Glow Plugs to be on when needed.
