They recommended sleeving and to change the piston and piston ring.

    Here are the major expenses I incurred for your info:

    Liner = P1650
    Sleeving = P2000
    Piston = P1650
    Piston Ring = P950
    OH Gasket = P1250
    OH labor = P3500

    Again thank you for all the information offered here.
    ah ok naman pala, standard ba yung size?, bearings hindi pinalitan? napa valve setting? napa cylinder head resurface?

    Sir Roy Roger kasi parang ganyan din ang problema ko except na di nman nagbabawas ng oil ang makina. basa lang yung sparkplugs at di maganda ang sunog. may times na pumapalya ang makina pero di naman namamatay.

    before jumping deep into unsure or wrong conclusions, have a compression check and a cylinder leak down test. some causes of oil burning are:
    1. stuck open PCV valve
    2. plugged up crankcase breather hose
    3. plugged up cylinder head holes leading down to the crankcase causing
    a puddle of oil on top of the cylinder head and getting sucked in into
    the intake valve guide
    4. too thin of engine oil used
    5. sludge and baked on varnish on the piston oil rings.
    in the case of the latter, you can use high detergency (HD) oil to slowly melt the sludge down without having to drop the oil pan to remove the solids that had been loosened by engine flush.

    determine wether basa sa gasolina, sa langis or sa tubig.

    pag basa sa langis, it might be the pistons. you may need to overhaul
    pag basa sa gasolina, your carbs might need some attention.
    pag basa ng tubig naman, you might have blown your head gasket. top overhaul yan.
