kung isa lang spark plug ang maitim at oily. pwedeng piston ring nga. ang may problem ay yung may maitim na spark plug.
ang dukot, tatanggalin ang oil pan sa ilalim ant doon bubunutin ang piston.
i wonder lang why puti ang usok, usually kasi itim because of unburned oil. palyado ba?

i would have to agree with eyshmechanic. pwedeng piston ring nga. pero no harm done to check for other causes din sa pagkain ng langis- magastos din magpadukot.
AFAIK, puti usok pag naghalo na ang langis sa loob where it shouldn't be... i read somewhere condensation issue na to... dunno...

July 5th, 2008 09:10 PM #15Thanks everybody for your inputs. I have decided to have my car overhauled last Friday. Well, it was discovered that it has a damaged engine block cylinder (maraming deep scratches) and piston ring. Further, one of the pistons has deep cavities in its head. They recommended sleeving and to change the piston and piston ring.
Here are the major expenses I incurred for your info:
Liner = P1650
Sleeving = P2000
Piston = P1650
Piston Ring = P950
OH Gasket = P1250
OH labor = P3500

its good na naayos na hinay hinay muna sa pag papaandar...

pwede ba magtanong kung damaged piston ring na itong 10 year old, 311,000 kms adventure 4d56 diesel namin. ganito kasi, kapag naka idle at binuksan mo takip ng engine(yung plastic na itim) may nalabas na usok at oil na tumatalsik, at sa oil dipstick naman may oil na tumatalsik at usok din...
sa tingin nyo mga sir, ano kaya possible problems na ng 311,000 kms old adventure namin diesel. mula't sapul wala pa tong overhaul.. minsan nga umaabot ng 8 months before mapa change oil... more than 2 years na ung usok at oil sa takip at dipstick.
ano po kaya??? grabe na kasi usok eh.

it seems that your car is burning oil already, possible yung piston rings worn out na or baka nag stock up lang yung oil rings and piston rings sa piston due to carbon deposits or may tama na yung cylinder liner mo, if thats the case sleeving lang ang kailangan kung gusto mo ibalik sa standard size ang bore ng cylinder or the other way reboring palitan lang ng mas malaki na piston depende sa bore na gusto mo but the catch is malakas ang hatak, malakas din lumamon ng gas. change the bearings also main and connecting rods this is the very secret formula kung mag ooverhaul, kasi ang iba nag sasabi na ok pa yung bearings balik na lang natin thats not a good idea kasi may play na yung lumang bearings sa crank saft at sa connecting rod ng piston baka mag co cause pa ng stock up.
Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
