Thanks for this article. Thought I would just add to it what I discovered today. I have had an oil leak in the front crank seal on and off for quite a while. The last time I re-sealed it I thought I had it sorted until about 6 months ago it started leaking worse than ever. Finally I got time to get a new seal and tear it down. Initially I was confused as the seal was in perfect condition and it was in place and stable. While extracting the old seal I noticed the oil pump drive sleeve seemed quite loose and I was curious as to if there was a defect in the surface the seal seats on. I extracted it and looked it over to no avail. While there was quite a shiny patch where the seal had been running there was nothing else obvious that might cause an issue. I showed my son the part and he said there is a crack in it and sure enough when you got the light right and pulled the sides apart a hairline crack in line with the key way is obvious. I since found this is not unheard of and often the cause of oil leaks that won't stop so I thought I would share it here in the hope it will help others. A couple of images to show the crack.pb120320.jpg

yes sir. virtually the same.....iba lang siguro ang teeth count ng balancer belt (83 or 99 teeth). atsaka teeth profile (rectangular or round) sa t-belts.

bukod sa timing belt na papalitan e ipanalangin nyo po na valve lang ang may tama or tappet (kung meron man iyan). worst case scenario e dented pistons, bent or broken connecting rod, bent or broken crankshaft (brand new engine na katapat ng mga ito or overhaul).

hmmmm...2010. usually 6 years tinatagal ng rubber so i assume hindi pa napalitan iyan since 2010 (tama ba ako?).
