forgot to mention that an engine thermostat is also recommended to get better fc.
yung sa akin dati, wala ng thermostat ng mabili ko. when i put one, mas tumipid pa ng half a kilometer/lit sa city driving.
you might want to check kung may thermostat pa yung ride mo. usually kasi dyan tinatanggal ng mga mekaniko, reasoning out that the car does not need it dahil mainit naman dito sa atin.

Tire pressures and unnecessary weight also affect fuel consumption. Using the AC also consumes more fuel as does driving heavily.

for the thermostat, follow the lower radiator hose and it will normally lead you to the thermostat housing which the thermostat should be in.
