Corolla GL fuel consumption... pwede pa kayang mapababa?

thanks speedyfix... right after reading your reply to my post, i called up your shop and inquired kaya lang di pala daw kayo gumagawa nito (carb overhauling and rejetting). Can you possibly give me some recommendations kung saan pwede? Medyo mababa kasi ang confidence level ko dun sa mga shops where I had tune-ups before.

ang mga carb specialist kasi nasa kamuning. try mo sa kamuning carb specialist sa left side coming from edsa, look for mando. you can also try sa jun and danny just in front.

forgot to mention that an engine thermostat is also recommended to get better fc.

yung sa akin dati, wala ng thermostat ng mabili ko. when i put one, mas tumipid pa ng half a kilometer/lit sa city driving.

you might want to check kung may thermostat pa yung ride mo. usually kasi dyan tinatanggal ng mga mekaniko, reasoning out that the car does not need it dahil mainit naman dito sa atin.

Tire pressures and unnecessary weight also affect fuel consumption. Using the AC also consumes more fuel as does driving heavily.

yep kamuning is the place to go. medyo hilera ata yung mga gumagawa dun pero i'm not too sure lang who is really good.

for the thermostat, follow the lower radiator hose and it will normally lead you to the thermostat housing which the thermostat should be in.
