    mga sirs, need help po. yung civic ng bilas ko tumirik. ayaw nang magstart. may tumingin na mechanic (don't know from where) ang sabi daw e "engine coil". i'm not really familiar with this part kasi ang alam ko ay ignition coil. anyway, here are my questions:

    1. iba pa ba ang engine coil sa ignition coil?
    2. what are the symptoms na ito nga ang culprit?
    3. what are the other possible reasons?
    4. around how much will be spent to repair/replace this?

    other info:
    the car is an esi (don't know what year) pero na engine swap na ng vtec engine. yung bilas ko nasa abroad na and naiwan na lang yung hipag ko so i have no idea of the history of the car and what has been replaced.

    As for the price, kung ignition coil nga yan, around 1K plus ata. This includes the black square part plus 2 seals ata.

    Yung sakin kase dati, buti nakita, may crack na ung black part. Sabi nung mekaniko pag natuluyan daw un hindi na mag-iistart ung makina. I guess in that regard, ignition coil nga ung tinutukoy ng mekaniko mo.

    ah ok. thanks! so yung 1k na ignition coil is that an original, oem or replacement? charge kasi dun sa hipag ko is 8k e. parang sobra sobra ata yun e.

    Wow! 8K? D kaya buong distributor papalitan? Hehe. Not sure though kung oem o replacement ung kinabit sakin hehe. Pero so far ok naman. Sa Cruven ko pala napapalitan ung sakin. Sinabay ko na noon kase may pinatingin din ako sa ilalim.

    replacement coil siguro yun. symptom nya is na may power lahat kaso the engine doesn't fire.

    masyado mahal yan 8k for the coil. buong surplus distributor na yan and may sukli ka pa.
