Check Engine Light After Engine Wash/Detail

*enzo, hindi naman. smooth naman yung idle. pag nagrerev lang ako pumapalya. pag bagong start, wala yung check engine light. pero pag nirev ko na ng mataas, nag on yung check engine light after pumalya *2000.

kelangan natin opinion ng mga experts. based sa experience ko, nakuha sa pag buga ng hangin sa sprark plugs yung problem after mag engine wash.

that happened to me as well...nag loloko ang engine...yung rpm naging speedometer, yung speedometer became rpm....in short..something got wet..thats one reason why most car washes do not have the service of engine wash..especially if your car is fuel injected...i just hope that the computer box didnt get wet.

anyhow...this happened to my civic esi and my gf's vti civic.... we just blow dry the circuits/wires...after a day or two..no more problem. i suggest you blow air to areas of the circuits and observe..if it still has problem...its time to consult the casa.

*av8or5 Thanks. Hindi naman siguro nabasa yung computer box kasi nasa loob sya ng car. nasa may passenger seat.

Checked my car again and mukhang ok sya kapag malamig pa. nung uminit, palyado na naman. Kala ko solved na problem ko, di pa pala. Sana bukas paggising ko ok na sya... pag hindi pa, dalin ko na sa mechanic.

Share ko lng, nagkaproblem din ako after ko magpacarwash eh, Una is, hindi nalinis ung bandang Inatke, kc bka madali ang Box, pati ung Intake mismo, so may takip un, 2nd, may Whistling sound sa may Engine, before mag Igntion ng car, bago mo istart, pag pihit mo pa lng sa #II na slot, bkt kaya?

Baka may tubig pa sa loob ng spark plug slots... try extracting the water out using a syringe.

na-check mo na ba yun oil mo kung hinde napasukan? kung kula gatas napasukan ng water yun engine mo.....

teka lang kung engine detailing yun ginawa saiyo dapat hinde hinuhugasan yan ah...

shadow... yung iba kasing car wash sa tabi-tabi they are now starting to call themselves "detailers" even though hindi naman talaga.

then baguhin ung name ng service like "engine detailing" for the usual "engine wash" (using running water).

but TS said "Hindi naman ako sa pipichuging car wash nagpaengine detail. And medyo mahal yung singil nila."

*TS, baka naloko ka sabi detailing tapos wash lang ang ginawa...

Hehe hindi naman siguro ko naloko. 3 hours nila nilinis yung engine ko and sulit naman in terms of quality. Malinis talaga sya.

Anyway, dinala ko na kay speedyfix yung car ko kanina and naayos yung problem by cleanung the distributor. 400 ang nagastos ko pero sabi nila pag bumalik ang problem, kailangan ko na magpalit ng distributor. They will install the distributor na lang for free. Sana hindi na bumalik ang problem. Any ideas magkano surplus na distributor for 96 civic vti?

Singilin ko na lang ng isang free carwash yung nag engine wash sakin hehe.
