January 30th, 2010 08:50 AM #1Guys, in about to change the engine oil of my adventure super sports diesel, may nakita ako brand ng engine oil na WHIZ fully synthetic sya and it's about 250+/liter. Im just asking if kung ok ba ung engine oil na un?, pa advice naman poh please

Good morning!
Using fully synthetic oils for your non-CRDi diesel engine will be just an added cost. itim na yan the next day dahil madumi ang diesel dito sa pilipinas. It is still better to change the oils for such engines (tulad ng 4D56 ng advie) every 5000 km, rather than the 10,000 km promised by synthetic oils, since the engine will be "washed" more often.
Personally I use mineral oils. no problems so far.

yan gamit ko ngayon sa hi-lander namin. 2x na ako nakapag-change oil gamit yan. ok naman siya. halos parehas ng shell helix plus diesel na maluwag ang pakiramdam ng makina at may improvement din sa fuel consumption at a lower cost. shell helix plus diesel kasi php316 ang kuha ko pero yung whiz php240 lang. sa mineral kasi mabigat ang pakiramdam ko sa makina. na-try ko na ang mobil delvac mx, shell rimula x, delo gold multigrade, petron rev-x trekker at valvoline na mga mineral, angat ang shell helix plus diesel pero medyo may presyo kaya nasubukan ko ang whiz at halos parehas sila ng performance. though gusto ko bumalik ng shell helix plus diesel
