April 9th, 2011 02:55 PM #1Yesterday, everything was working just fine. The CEL switches off in 5 seconds or less, but after raining today, the CEL turns off 5 minutes after.
BTW, my car is parked outside so it was drenched in the rain...
This also happened to me a month ago when I washed my car, but after a day or two, it went back to normal.
Can anyone explain why this happen? TIA...

April 9th, 2011 10:43 PM #8replacing all the few electrolytic capacitors on the ECU might just fix your problem as some other owners experienced
but capacitor problem does not explain what appears to be temperature dependent symptom in your case ... so this is just a try-if-it-works approach and it won't hurt your wallet
