I just had out Trooper oil changed at our suking gas station earlier. I read in the brochure of this new diesel synthetic oil from Caltex rated API CH-4/SJ and SAE 15W-40. Mukhang may ka-competition na Petron Rev-X All Terrain.

I asked my suking Caltex Station pero di pa daw available. Baka si Sir Chieffy can shed a light into this.

    Paging Sir Chieffy.

I think I have seen that oil from chieffy's place the last time I was there. OTEP pointed out something like synth blended oil not full synth or something.

Petron Rev-x Trekker lang yung 15W40. P105/liter lang yun sa Petron na Trekker. I know coz I'm using it now...

Yung Petron All-Terrain is 5W40 or 5W30 ata ang rating.

Wow, available na pala. I'll try it on my next oil change.

    Sir rsnald,

I am not referring to their SAE viscosities but their similarity as Synthetic Oils.

    Oil gurus:

Tanong ko lang kung safe ba gamitin yung new Caltex Oil Synthetic blend? I'm currently using Petron's All Terrain full synth on my TD42 engine.

I will have an oil change this coming week ahead.

Just had an oil change at Chieffy's Caltex Station this morning and we used Delo Sports Synthetic Blend SAE 15W-40 API-CH4.
    Service was excellent. Thanks Chieffy.

Ok lang po Sir Ungas. Just have the old oil fully drained with a new oil filter and fill her up with your chosen synthetic.

Sir roydok, the new Caltex Oil is only synthetic blend not full synth as with Petron. Do you think it is advisable to use a flushing formula first before filling in the new synth blend oil?
