Yung pang truck filters ng VIC binibili lng nila from other filter factories kasi in the 1st place they mainly produce spin on or lata type oil & fuel filters. Like si Nippon Micro has already shifted to buying some items from VIC kasi hindi na nila kaya makipag compete ng price sa passenger car spin on oil filters ni VIC then si VIC naman bumibili ng truck filters ni Nippon Micro kasi hindi kaya ni VIC yung prices ni Nippon Micro.

Pansinin niyo itong mga element type oil filters ni VIC for Ford Everest & Ranger then Chevy Trailblazer and Colorado. O-407 & O-008 parehas walang naka mention na country of origin sa packaging nila dahil binibili lang ni VIC from South Korea and other possible sources yung mga certain element(no metal cover) filters nila.

If the C-110 oil filter element nilukot intentionally ng nag cutout then bakit pantay parin and walang visible damage yung oil filter element. Makikita mo sa photo na pantay parin yung end caps and no other deformity asides sa isang part ng oil filter, so my gut feeling is that sa production stage siya natupi baka sobrang lakas nung stamping ng 2 end caps kaya na deform yung filter. Pero what's important is the pleating system of VIC's element sobrang uneven dahil ba naka metal cover hindi makikita ng users like us yung laman sa loob then maganda lang outer finishing ng oil filter with "Made in Japan" printed on the C-110 body. Important is yung filtration efficiency ng filter element and yung pleating niya which either helps oil flow smoothly or restricts it.

Also since you mentioned na no overhaul was done sa car mo, and you've been using VIC. Ang problem is yung efficiency ng engine lalo na pagdating sa fuel efficiency and etc... due to engine components faster wear and tear due to increase in contaminants sa engine you can only view the damage physically when you open up the engine block. Pero fuel efficiency and power goes down during the faster wear and tear period.

Ang dami ng tests results sa internet na mismo they tested the oil filter in a laboratory sa filtration efficiency, sa burst tests and mismo si VIC na nag sabi at its height 91% lng ang efficiency nila then goes down as the filter is being used for the validity of its duration before another oil change is made. All these tested facts already should give us a hint, hindi natin pwede based on our personal experience alone since many mechanics say that na they have long history of experience pero marami parin "experienced" na mekaniko na in reality are siraniko like those who tells owners to throw their thermostats away & etc...

As of now there is no study or test about Bosch filters, since they are semi-inactive na sa filters for the aftermarket. Since Bosch is now focusing on more sophisticated and complicated components na hindi kaya gayahin ng China and others. Yung filters nila they outsourced from different sources like from a Vietnam manufacturer & etc... That is all I know for now.

Both Sakura and Dai-wa are a lower market category na filter sa mga naghahanap ng mura.

According to WIX, they are the original equipment manufacturer of Tesla Motors' electric vehicles. Tesla Motors is a very strict car manufacturer that only chooses a few car parts makers that reaches their stringent requirements.
