i haven't tried your store, but
    outside of the official dealer's,
    everything is potentially suspect.

    "100% authentic" can simply mean,
the air filter is a real air filter.
hindi lang nga gawa ni toyota.

    sometimes,
going to the physical store is not a 100% guarantee that the item is officially manufactured by the car manufacturer for their cars.
i have been personally gypped by one such, purchased from our suki, even!

it is common knowledge, even those with seemingly-authentic packaging, are, at times, "non-authorized" products.

    what brands are the most-faked?
the more common and respected brands, of course!
who knows for sure? only the manufacturer!

    so what is my suggestion?
"buy from authorized dealers, e.g., the 'casa' ".
it might be argued that it is still not 100% fake-free, but the chances are, in my opinion, considerably less.

yesterday, i purchased a non-oem replacement air filter for my wigo from our friendly neighborhood auto parts store for 400 bucks. it fit the receptacle, naman.

    good luck, po.

sa tancha ko gut feel, yung wix filter na yan eh made for southeast asian market. Iba din ang made for north america, china, japan, europe mga first world.

May naencounter ako dati yung ibang brands of filters na "product of u.s.a" Mas delikadengdeng yun kasi ayaw iprint saan made.

ipahiga mo na nakikita yung rubber at butas post mo dito. Sisipatin ko malapitan different angles. Kasi pwede legit yan na wix pero made specially for southeast asian market. May mga discrimination yan kasi sino ba kinakalaban ni wix syempre si vic filters so hindi lalayo sa pricing so iba yung manufacturing nyan mas mababa konti, ang masama pa nyan baka subcontract.

May naka print naman na made in Poland daw. I was expecting the anti drain back valve to be color pink. Akala ko silicone.

That WIX oil filter is authentic and is made in Poland, that WIX product continues to be sold in the European market and is made by WIX's Poland factory. The WIX USA product which is made in USA is majority being sold in the USA domestic market only since USA is farther to the Philippines than Poland and Poland has cheaper production costs than the USA, whenever the Poland factory doesn't produce a certain car application filter then it will send products from either of its owned plants.

WIX has a lot of factories across the world they even have factories in Mexico and etc... which are the same items being sold in the same markets in USA, Latin America, Canada, Europe and Asia. If 5 numbers ang part number ng WIX item then it means it is either made in USA, Mexico or South Korea then if the part number is 2 letters and 4 numbers then it is made in Poland, Ukraine or Czech Republic.

Since Mann+Hummel the biggest German filter manufacturer in Europe bought WIX filters the products being sold by WIX are also made by Mann+Hummel's factories whenever WIX doesn't have the mould for the specific vehicle application.

Unlike VIC which only has one factory in Japan and buys their other product range from Korea and other countries, Mann+Hummel is an OEM manufacturer compared to an aftermarket filter manufacturer VIC is by far too big.

WIX filters are made in the same factories that are producing filters for the US, Canadian, European, Asian and etc... markets as they are very big enough to produce bigger volume of filters and are able to achieve mass production efficiency compared to VIC filter which has only 100 employees in Japan and only supplies filters to the aftermarket with 0% OEM market share for car manufacturers. Mann+Hummel's policy for selling aftermarket filters is that they are only going to produce and sell WIX filters from their own factories which includes WIX factories and Purolator factories asides from Mann+Hummel's factories.

WIX filter anti drain back valves are made of silicone, just for your information silicone's natural color is not pink, red or orange. The natural color of liquid based platinum silicones are offered as colorless, transparent, black, grey or in variety of colors.

One of my points is have you seen silicone wiper blades that are orange, pink and other colors? You can check Maruenu and PIAA wiper blades if you want to check what is the color of a silicone rubber.

Mann+Hummel Germany that owns WIX filters USA doesn't do sub-contracting, they have a lot of factories already around the world to even consider sub-contracting their products. You can cut open the WIX filters you buy from legit sellers/dealers and buy one from the US market or even the European market you'll see that there it is 100% same, the only thing that they are doing is that they have a big volume of production compared with an aftermarket filter maker like VIC. Mann+Hummel, Purolator and WIX have hundreds of filter factories around the globe and they supply to several car makers like GM, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, Suzuki Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedez Benz, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari & etc... and even electric vehicle manufacturers like Tesla Motors are factory installed by WIX Filters.

The strategy WIX is going for is lowering their profit margins to the Philippine market so the price will not be as high as 1st world countries.

And to correct your wrong information about WIX, WIX Filters are actually higher priced than VIC Filters.

Also you can check in google maps that WIX Filters has a factory in Poland.

You can buy oil filters like for the Nissan Navara, try buying the 51521 oil filter available in the Philippine market and the 51521 in the US market and cut them open I can guarantee you that they are the same, as I had opened it up already just to see if they are cutting corners in their filters.
