it also took a long time for smokers to get lung cancer... and drinkers to lose their liver...

if you're using something not so good, why continue? "culture"

Well if you want about 4 times less filtering capability then it's a filter you want to use. There efficiency is terrible. They are on the very low scale barely 95% efficient at 40 microns when most good filters do that at 25 microns. So basically they miss a lot of particles and allow them to circulate through your oil.

Switch to a good filter and double your oils life.

well then the problem is the supply... almost all auto shops carry VIC filters... other gas service station like shell now use PUROLATOR (is this good?) i just don't know if these are original parts... another worry is fake parts...

naguguluhan ako kung anong viscosity kukunin ko...diba magiging mainit na ngayong summer?

eto pa ung API grade SG, SH SJ, ILSAC grade GF-I, GF-II ACEA96-A2... alin dapat kunin ko?

dito sa pinas with our tropical weather condition and traffic condition, i think 15W-40 or 10W-40 is more appropriate. ung 5W or SAE 30 sa mga countries that have winter.

Toyota's OEM synthetic is 5W40. It's thinner when cold so it circulates agad.

minimum ideal temp for normal flow for oils is about 27 degrees Celsius... the problem begins when engine is hot and ambient temperature is also hot.. like here in the Philippines...

for gasoline engines, there's little time to wait for engine temp to rise because its SPARK combustion
In diesels it will take time to heat up engine due to compression combustion(especially old school diesels)
