i use petron trekker 15w-40 diesel oil on my pikup even on my gas fed car, ok sya kahit sa gasoline engine gamitin, kagandahan ng trekker di sya nag bi build ng sludge, runs smoother and mura lang sya 180 petot lang per liter.

Marami choices other than the BIg three companies... try to explore other lubricants that are way much better than them, additional 50 to 100 pesos per liter pero malayo difference in quality and performance...

Cost cutting on lubricants is never a way to save money... you're just saving up for a bigger expense later on.

Good amount of Phosphorus/calcium/moly/boron and a very good TBN reserve..

traditional gas engine oil (SM/SN) will only have 6-8 TBN rating whereas CI-4 with SL rating will have TBN of 9-10...
So better to use a diesel specific oil (CI-4) on gasoline engine than normal gas specific oil (SM/SN)? This will last longer?

automotive engine oils: whats your pick?
