I'm a Royal Purple user myself, 10W-40. Had Speedyfix change it for me after using Honda's full-synthetic Idemitsu-licensed oil. So far so good. I've flogged the engine at a couple of trackdays since, and it's still purring fine in daily use.

Going to use FK/Massimo Super SS-X mineral oil next, same viscosity.

naguguluhan ako kung anong viscosity kukunin ko...diba magiging mainit na ngayong summer?

eto pa ung API grade SG, SH SJ, ILSAC grade GF-I, GF-II ACEA96-A2... alin dapat kunin ko?
Ignore the "W" - that means "winter" and the number next to it refers to the viscosity of the oil when COLD

30-weight or 40-weight oil is enough for most people.

Regarding API grades, newer grades are denoted by higher letters of the alphabet. SJ is new but SL is the newest I believe. API is easy - just get the newest you can find.

    I'd stick with 10w40 or 5w40.

The lower the first number, the thinner the viscosity of oil at start-up... which means less drag on the engine during cold start-ups, which is good for engine longevity and fuel economy.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    oil change every 5,000 km.

Tried using fully synthetic a couple of times. Itim rin after a week, that's why I'm sticking to mineral oils

Bro., ang langis ng diesel engine, pag umitim, ang ibig sabihin, it is doing its job well in cleaning the engine......
