    Yup I'm aware that rings don't have rubber in em. Just hoping the problem lies in the valve seals.

    High Mileage Oils are blended differently brand to brand...Amsoil's Signature looks impressive...Group IV & V Blend. PAO has lower Noack Volatilty(Noack Rest determines a lube's evap loss at high temps) than the mineral based lower groups.

    No leaks from the turbo and lines, breather, gasket areas, etc. No oil drips on the garage floor. Just a puff of whitish blue smoke in the morning. No visible smoke as it's running.

    Burns around a liter per 5Tkm though. Maybe a bit more. Temp seems to be a little higher.

    High mileage oil is also what a friend recommends. Hope I can find some for a diesel.
