    Does anyone experience this kind of problem before?

    Minsan-minsan namamatay makina ng civic vti 97 ko when i hit the break and comes to a full stop... mag-IIDLE ng konti tapos.. battery led goes blink... blink.. blink in my panel.. then dead.. I have to start the engine again.. tapos ganun na naman...

    Im thinking the following problem is attributed by the ff:

    * Battery (more than a year now)
    * Alternator (san kaya maganda makakuha ng mas malakas un output compared dun sa stock??? )
    * Idle adjustment (pede rin daw i2 sabi friend ko)

    Pero baka may mas nakakaalam sa inyo kung ano talaga problema... thanks in advance..

    Napapagod na kc ko sa workaround ko... lagi ko na lang kc tinatapakan un gas na naka-clutch or neutral para mag-rev sya at d mamatay...

    well, get the cheapest checkup first, have the battery tested. Nangyari sakin dati the car dies pag drop ng idling, humihina na batt... Although kung batt talaga prob mo, you probably won't be able to start it up again.

    Kung alternator, iilaw ang battery warning light mo kahit tumatakbo... Your battery would be dead as well after a long drive with accessories on since di sya kumakarga, again, a battery center can test the current of your alternator for you along with the battery.

    Idle adjustment... computer controlled ang idling mo, it shouldn't matter... i dont think this is a culprit... does the engine die only when you use AC or kahit patay AC namamatayan ka? If it's the former, baka idle up solenoid or valve may prob, kung regardless of AC load, baka may vacuum leak ka or something...

    i'll schedule a battery checkup then... sure hope it'll fix the problem soon... since wala syang pinipili kahit naka-ON or OFF AC ko..

    TRY DIAGNOSTIC MODE, TO RETRIEVE TROUBLE CODES.JUMPER PLUG(2WIRES) UNDER GLOVE BOX NEAR A/C EVAP. CHECK ENGINE SHOULD LIGHT.
    VISIT ZEE CARPLUS SHOP * SAN JUAN 7248309 IF YOU CANOT DECODE.

    alternator yan... yun akin din ganyan, kaso nun kumuha ako ng surplus na alternator ganon pa rin... balak ko kumuha ng malakas na alternator...

    pinadjust ko yun idling, ang lakas naman masyado... pero unti-unting bumabalik... nagflufluctuate nanaman auto ko pero hindi na namamatay... pagpinapatingin ko naman nagiging normal ulit... weird...

    Salamat sa lahat ng nag-post.

    Went for a battery and alternator check-up pero ok naman both. Para sure pinapalitan ko na battery since it's already going 2 yrs na naman pero andun pa rin problema.

    Anyway, this weekend nagpa-oil change na rin ako and spark plug change (thanks sa lahat ng tips from this site about spark plugs and oil choices :-D) and ayon... nakita nung mekaniko un problema.. d ko alam tawag but i think it looks like a screw malapit sa intake. Pinihit-pihit lang nila then KAPOOOF!!!! wala na idle problema! D na ko namamatayan!!!...

    i had the same problem. beleive it or not. sa ignition swtch yun sira(likod ng susuan,lapit sa manubela).
