    sir, there are no alternators equipped with armatures. motors do. the rotor or rotating field coil's slip rings does not indeed stop rotation of the rotor or field coil and is not strong enough to stop rotation, it will snap. the carbon brushes are never enclosed in metal casing or a severe short circuit happens.

    mahirap din alternator maintenance considering the location. you will have to remove some of the components inside the engine e.g. coolant reservoir and of of course the fan belt before you could remove the alternator.

    car maintenance is not only a technology but is also an art form. the cleaner you keep yourself and keep yourself free from knicks, cuts, bruises burns the more skilled you are in addition to properly diagnosing and repairing the car. if it is too difficult at first, try it again and again until you get proficient

    correct sir. just removing the belt and installing it after is already a tough task.

    some alternators are easily removed from underneath the car



    the carbon brushes are never enclosed in metal casing
    i think the poster meant the brasslike sleeve holding the carbon brushes which are electrically isolated from each other and from the grounded casing

    but still you have to remove the fan belt first. haven't seen removing alternator underneath the vehicle mukhang mas mahirap un.
