Mileage is just 6000 kms. 1 year old.

Still looks quite clean... Do I replace or keep using?

    questions...

    1. magkano isa nyan na orig/oem?
    2. magkano replacement nyan?

kung mura replacement nyan, make sure it is replaced regularly. malaki effect nyan sa takbo ng oto.

kung original yan and let's say, tig 2000 petot ang isa. i would still recommend a 5000 kms change. kung talagang mabigat ang price, thorough cleaning na lang.

pero as is, dapat pinapalitan yan ng bago every 5000 kms. kaya dapat makakita ka ng replacement nyan...

sir psylocke, please refer to your owner's manual. i think the air filter element should be replaced at 10K kilometers,(not sure though. i've forgotten since i switched to washable filters). if not 20K kilometers.

Buy replacement and replace at every oil change. No need to remember to replace or not, tipid pa! hehehe.

I use magic marker (pentel pen) and write the date/mileage installed on vehicle filters.

high pressure air would do. but never high pressure water.

you could do that in the service station where there is a hydraulic lift- i used to do it whenever bring my vehicles in the service station for underwash.

re: high pressure air... wag nyo bugahan directly... baka ma damage yung filter member kasi.

re: replacement filter... our long-time suking mekaniko discourages me from buying replacement filter as many are cheaply made and have poor filtering capabilities.

K&N isn't exactly the poster boy for filtering power. It is freeflowing but can also foul MAF sensors.

The usual problem I have encountered with replacements is more related to getting clogged up (even this is a rare occurence). That's why I just replace more often.

This required a carb rebuild.

LOL If you use compressed water to blast at your air cleaner, super linis yan! As in no filter element left.
