Same Ignition Timing (10BTDC) from idle to 4kRPM... Sign ba to ng Stuck-up na Mechanical Advancer? Dapat bang mag advance ang Timing mark pag tumataas ang rev ng makina?

    • Idle (900rpm) 10BTDC
      4000rpm 10BTDC
      Vacuum Advancer Removed & plugged
      EE100 Corolla
      2e Engine
      1300cc
      12 valve
      CDI type distributor

    TIA!

Your car is equipped with electronic spark advance (ESA)

Today's cars have distributor less ignition that you can not mechanically adjust. There are however engines with distributors but there is no provision for mechanical ignition timing, example is the Toyota 5SFE engine. You can adjust distributor ignition timing using a scan tool, using a vacuum gauge, using a digital storage oscilloscope or by using an exhaust gas analyzer aside from the timing light.

Normal... Tanggal yung hose sa vacuum advancer eh.

Hindi RPM dependent yung advancer nyan (kaya nga vacuum advancer ang tawag), kundi sa throttle opening (less vacuum when throttle is open, more vacuum when throttle is closed).

...ang RPM dependent ay yung centrifugal advancer (but that's another story). :D
