I'm not sure about that part. Yung mga ibang direct injection may pre-heating pa din before starting. Pero napansin ko lang na mas mabilis kaysa sa akin.

yung ZD30 ng patrol direct injection na yata, meron pa rin preheating, pero less than 3 sec lang. yung trooper meron din yatang glow plug indicator.

Yung CRDI meron din bang glow plug (heater). Ano ang concept ng CRDI bakit maganda raw itong diesel technology na ito?
I think yung mga direct injection meron pa rin glow plugs pero mas mabilis na ang start up coz of the configuration. CRDI: basic difference, mas mataas ang I.P fuel pressure. Standard I.P nasa 4000 psi lang, CRDI 20,000 psi-up.
Basta may yellow lamp na may parang kulot na logo, glowplugs iyon.

sapul. kaya ko natanong, yung truck namin(Elf) nung nabilii (98 yata) me glowplug indicator but not working(di sya umiilaw before start). ask ko yung dealer(converted sya ha) at sabi nya direct incjection na sya kaya wala na yun. pero merong glowplug sa makina nung binuksan ko. maybe mabilis lang talaga at matibay(coz sandali lang heating time) yung direct injection engine glowplug.Originally Posted by OTEP
