4 km/L FC of my nissan sunny 1.3 engine who can help me here?

NISSAN SUNNY 1.3 sampalok engine 1990

after ko nabili yung sasakyan humahalo yung langis sa radiator pinagtyagaan ko for several months hanggang makaipon pangbili pyesa at machine shop labor so ganito na ginawa ko

stock engine, new valves seals and guide ( ako mismo bumili at nagpakabit sa machine shop), resurfaced cylinder head, new gasket (of course), replaced timing belt. tamang torque sequence at setting ng main bolt ng cylinder head base sa manual po.

0 degrees TDC yung piston then yung distributor is naka set sa sentro ng marking (adjusted a few cm para mag 10 deg BTDC)

tires are slim and standard 13' with 30psi palagi

FC ko after the above is i think 6-7 NLEX sya ha kasi meycauayan to edsa caloocan lang ang byahe ko

after several months of pagtiis eh naiinis na ako kasi 6km/l for a 1.3 engine on an expressway is i think bad! knowing light footed ako mag drive at laging naka 5th gear.

binuksan ko yung carb nakita ko 170 ang jet ng primary (sin laki ng pakong 1' ang diameter) at 60 yung secondary (gakarayom ang diameter) tama po ba yun? or nabaliktad nung unang may ari?

so ginawa ko

pinalitan ko ng 110 yung primary at still 60 pa rin yung secondary.

A/F mixture seems ok kasi yung plugs ko chocolate brown ang tip

then ngyn 4km/L na lang... lalong naging matakaw sa gas

after maubos yung 9 liters ko ng fuel (petron XCS) sinubukan ko ipagpalit yung 60 sa primary at yung 170 sa secondary at tinabi ko ulit yung 110 na binili ko baka sakali nagbaliktad lang ng may ari then adjust ulit ako ng A/F mixture

pakarga ulit ako petron XCS 9 liters.... gues what 4km/L pa rin...

hindi nagbabawas ng langis at ng tubig. hindi malagkit ang tail pipe ko wala usok sa dip stick at wala din talsik ng oil my brakes are ok

hose lang nakakabit sa carb nya is advancer at fuel line other than that wala na.

nag memekaniko din po ako and i've overhauled (both top and general) deisel engines, first time ko mag top overhaul ng gasoline engine of my nissan sunny sampalok engine. kasi napaka ironic naman kumpleto ko halos sa gamit tapos sa iba ko papagawa.

ano po posible na problema sa BAD fuel consumption ko? any help guys? mga experts sa carbs patulong...

hindi ko na hinahabol yung rumors na 12km/L ang nissan 1.3 engine kahit maging 9-10km/L man lang pwede na.

I know there is a solution for this kind of problem... hoping for the guys here makatulong...

Have the carb overhauled muna. Try buying a repair kit specific to that carb and you can probably do it yourself. A keyster repair kit solved one for me. I replaced every part that is included in the carb repair kit, even the springs.

As per the engine, what is the resulting compression of each cylinder? Has a compression test already been done? Are all the vacuum hoses intact from the manifold/carb to the actuators/distributor? Does the distributor vacuum advancer work? Among other stuff pa.

Iba talaga ang gas engine kasi aside from correct fuel delivery, dapat tama din ang ignition.

never actually measured the compression of the cylinders but in my instinct and thumb test still has a good compression.... kasi kung loose compression na yung nissan ko ngi ko na napapakamot eh... eh kahit 60 ang primary jet nya pag pinakamot ko grabe iyak ng gulong eh parang nag tokyo drift ako hehehe wala na talaga ako ibang pinagbibintangan sir kung hindi yung carb.... wala sa tamang tono.... am a mechanic but carb is not really my expertise.... iba talaga carb specialization.... ibang major yung kung baga sa college hehehehe... i'll try to bring it to a carb shop... a already asdk a carb specialist... and he gave me a money back guarantee hehehehe.... 680 pesos daw po including na yung parts at tamang jetting daw.... ndi ko na tinanong kung ano tamang sukat ng jetting kasi alam ko trade secret nila yun and may be akward kung pati yun eepal pa ako d b.... pero hanggang ngyn palaisipan talaga sakin yung FC ko... grabeng grabeh daig ko pa nakaexpedition eh...

Ang main jet niyan is 89, secondary is 145. Ignition timing at 91-93 octane gas should be 2 +-2 BTDC * idle speed of 800 +-50 with distributor vacuum removed and plugged.

kakapaoverhaul ko lang kahapon under observation pa yung sasakyan but it seems no effect pa rin.... still observing pa ako.... ang air po ba to run slightly lean pasara?(pahigpit) or pabukas?(paluwag)

sir Kompressor yun pong timing mark ko sa engine is 0 5 10 15 and 20 wala po ako makitang 2.... panu po kaya yun? can youn pls give me and ideal where can i buy an affordable timing light? 2,400 kasi sa raon baka may mas mura pa... tnx po again

try mo yung LYS hardware sa recto. 1500 cheapest timing light when i bought mine. madami din automotive tools dun. hth

have observed the damn carb.... overhauled sya last saturday... pero palyado.... and binalik ko ulit yun 60 primary at yung 110 ang secondary pero nung chineck ko yung plugs pucha rich ang mixture... pinihit ko na yung air ng clock wise hanggang sa sarado na pero rich pa rin kasi itim na itim ndi katulad dati na hindi pa naoverhaul yung carb choco brown ang kulay ng plugs ko ngyn kahit 60 na ang primary ng jet tapos halos sagad(clockwise) na yung air pero rich pa rin ang mixture ko.... bad trip... mas lalo lumakas...sayang yung 650 na bayad.... mga guru ang air ba pag pinihit ng clockwise(pahigpit) more air and less fuel? another thing totoo ba na pagnagpalit ako ng carb ng pang 4k may good effect si FC? ndi kasi ako maconvince kasi naniniwala pa rin ako sa factory setting eh pls help...

another thing sir the carb guy asked me to buy a thinner so inisip ko gagamitin pang linis so i baught a laquer thinner pag balik ko sabi nya yung paint thinner nagtaka ako kasi d b yung paint thinner is just plain kerosene? correct me if i'm wrong so inisip ko "Your the expert" so balik ako sa pinagbilhan ko pinapalitan ko yung laquer thinner to a paint thinner... nagtataka lang po ako kasi mas maganda ang melting capacity ng laquer thinner compared to a paint thinner when it comes to residue and gum deposit d b? any one here who have tried to go to "Mand Ado Carburator specialist? along mindanao ave going to NLEX? sa kanya ako nagpunta eh. tnx in advance po.

i have done some reasearch ewan ko kung tama ako... here it goes...

pinaoverhaul ko yung carb ko sabi ng gumawa ok na yan titipid na yan wag ko daw muna ikabit yung air filter ko at medyo luma na daw then after several kilometers kabit ko na daw ulit pero mas maganda daw stockings ikabit ko effective daw yun... truthfully speaking hindi ako convince kasi halos ganun pa rin ang consumption and i'm running rich in fuel he said pinalitan na daw nila ng jets at nalaman ko hindi nila pinalitan kasi sa gigil at inis ko na sa auto binaklas ko yung carb i found out hindi pinalitan ng jetting kasi yung jett na nakakabit at yung dati pa rin hindi ko sinabing binaklas ko yun bago ko dinala sa kanya... akala nya siguro hindi ko malalaman ayun the 680 pesos na cost (kasama na daw pyesa dun na papalitan) e wala naman pala pinalitan at yung secondary jet ay may pasak ng parang adhesive na AFAIK eh matagal nang nakapasak dahil iba na kulay(siguro akala nung unang may ari ng sasakyan titipid pag pinasakan yung seconady jet) ayun sa inis ko yung 90 na stock jet pinalitan ko ng 80 at yung stock secondary jet na 145 ay pinalitan ko ng 95 timpla timpla ulit ng A/F mixture, niluwqagan ko ng todo nung natanggal yung screw namatay makina (hindi katulad nung una na 90 yung primary eh kahit tanggal yung screw hindi namamatay yung makina) ginamit ko yung sasakyan for about 6.5 kilometer then check the plugs ayun choco brown na ulit at hindi na itim na uling. kanina umaga sinubukan ko yung stockings ang kinabit (kumupit pa ako ng stockings sa closet ni misis) kinabit ko sa nozzle ng air filter casing bumili ako ng gasoline nilagay ko sa 1.5 bottle ng coke nirekta ko yung hose mura fuel filter hanggan sa bottle pati yung return nirekta ko sa bottle at yung bottle ay nasa paanan ng co driver's seat (para kitang kita ko) sabi ko kay wifey buksan muna window kasi baka mahilo tayo hehehe umalis na kami going to work (6.5Km from house to work) ayun naubos lang ng sasakyan 6.5Km is 750ml(nilagyan ko kasi ng pentel pen yung 250ml level, 500ml, 750ml, 1000ml, 1250ml at yung 1500ml using graduated cylinder na hiniram ko sa science lab ng anak ko ) so by computation (1000ml / 4 = 250ml x 3 =750ml then 6.5km / 3 = 2.16km x 4 = 8.66km) so therefore na prove ko na i'm averaging 8.66km/L of gasoline city driving with uphill and downhill of about 1km from house to main road with light trafic kasi past 7:00AM na kaya madami na jeep na nagsasakay at nagbababa ng students.

mga ginawa ko para makuha ko yung tamang tipid:

1 tinanggal ko yung mga tools:
(crocodile jack, i set steveman socket with metal case, 1 set steveman deep socket with plastic case, 1 set alen
key, 1 set star key, 1 set 24pcs combination wrench, 1 set 12pcs open wrench, i tool box with adjustable wrench,
vise grip set of screw drivers, torque wrench)
2 palit jetting from 90 to 80 primary at from 145 to 95 secondary
3 tinanggal ko yung lumang air cleaner element kinabitan ng stockings courtesy of wifey
4 pitik pitik lang sa gas pedal

i hope some of our friends here wag mangyari yung nangyari sakin... bago kayo magpagawa pagaralan nyo na lang mabuti sayang ang pera 680 pesos plus gasoline(syempre tetestingin nyo yun so waste of fuel lang) tama rin ang sinabi ng kapit bahay ko "sa kagustuhan mo makuha ang tamang consumo ng sasakyan mo"

I hope this will help... may mga gagawin pa ako research of tweaking my ride baka mapatipid ko pa ito dahil baka pwede pa ako mag adjust ng A/F mixture kung kaya pa...
