2 years, 8 months (pagkaka-alaala ko) yung Varta, stock battery ng sasakyan ko.. Kung china-charge ko pa siguro at nagagamit sasakyan baka mas tatagal..
Amaron na pinalit ko mas malapit kasi Amaron samin kaysa Motolite.. Pwede lakarin, sila na pumunta sa bahay may discount dahil kinuha nila Varta battery na luma..

i have this suspicion, some "maintenance-free" batteries will probably last longer, if the owner opens it up and adds distilled water if needed.

That's actually right. My cheap Motolite Enduro lasted 3 years. When the 15-month warranty expired, I opened it and added more distilled water as the water level seemed very low.

I suspect they put just enough water to last until the warranty period.
