    maraming fake products nagkalat sa market dito sa pinas. kapag ang producto kilalang branded at sell like hotcake pa ito, di maiiwasan may fake yan. kaya ginagawa ng legitimate company naglalagay ng secrurity features either sa packaging o sa product or both. suggest you buy it from reputable auto supplies, ace hardware etc... personally i don't buy iridium spark plug, regular lang oks na yan IMO

    many years ago, a popular store was found to have been selling counterfeit parts...
    whether it was intentional or not, o don't remember anymore.

    to clear all doubt, check and compare the voltage waveform using a digital storage oscilloscope. the reserve voltage is supposed to be 40% of the available voltage. if the gap is too wide, expect a higher than normal firing line and a short spark line.
