Update on the first 3 months after I replaced my carbon brushing and have the solenoid cleaned. A couple of days ago, bumalik nanaman yung sakit nya. Sinusumpong yung pag start ulet. most of the time ok naman, 1 click lang pero sometimes it takes a while.
So knowing i had the carbon and solenoid diagnosed already, i brought to an electrician with having a relay installed in mind. Syempre, hindi ko muna sinabi sa kanya to see if our opinions will match. Sinabi ko lang kung anong case at actions ang ginawa ko before.
And ganun nga ang sabi nya. It might need a relay naraw since the car is 19 yrs old. Sabi pa nga nya if the relay doesn't work its probably the solenoid na raw talaga.
So I'm thinking of giving the relay a shot since affordable naman sya. Thing is, first time ko magpapakabit ng relay sa buong buhay ko.hehehe But i've heard success stories here in the forum naman about it. What are the main things i should be wary about kung papakabit ako. Is it safe? Takot lang ako baka may masunog kung saan saan.hehe

March 25th, 2014 11:58 AM #64Meron na grounding sya bale. Kagabi pla nasunog ung wiring mg headlamp ko. As in nagliyab. Buti nalang maliit pa nung nakita ko at naagapan agad. I'm having it reweired narin today para sabay sabay na. Ayayay!

Good evening!!!
Guys, need your insights and advise. Had a very weird experience just now.
Ride is a 97 hilander. Started it, put it down from the garage and left it in idle for about 10 mins. Decided to bring it up the garage again and while positioning it on the flat surface of the garage, the engine dies out. Tried starting it but it only "clicks" then silence. When the key is released from start, it "clicks" back. Checked the engine and noticed that the oil hose going to the alternator is leaking at the end. Starter is all bone stock. What could be the problem?

April 3rd, 2014 08:49 PM #66Hello mga Sirs, I was wondering kung may connection ba yung hard starting ( pag click ko start sa una pumapalya pero mostly sa pangalawa nag-start na ) sa servo kit trouble code?
Pinasok ko kasi oto ko sa casa para ipa-tsek kung ano problema pag pumapalya pag start ko, unang assessment is need to replace starter assy (di nila pinalitan kasi wala daw sila stocks) paglabas ng casa naramdaman ko na pag umapak ako sa preno ung feeling na mamatay yung makina until a day after paglabas ng casa(note : di ko ito nararamdaman or not my problem before ko ipasok sa casa, my only concern is yung pagpalya sa pagstart!), pag apak ko ng preno bigla siya namatay pero nagstart naman uli. Dumating din sa point na pag start ko bigla na lang namamatay. (pina-tsek ko ren pala yung wiring ng fog lamp ko)So binalik ko uli sa casa.
Ang tsinek sa casa is the servo which says "servo ok" as stated sa resibo and sabi nila di na daw kailangan palitan yung starter assy inayos na daw nila yung starter/ignition wiring. Ok na ren ang fog lamp ko naayos na ren ang wiring.
Then after 2 weeks (i think) Bigla na naman siya namatay pag ka start. nung una nagstart pa siya then di na siya namatay pero pagbinuksan mo aircon biglan na siya namatay until naging ganun na pag start mo bigla na siya mamatay. Pinuntahan ng taga casa yun oto ko sa bahay and na-istart na then dinala sa casa para ma tsek and ang diagnosis is servo kit trouble code na daw lumalabas meaning i have to replace the servo.
Kaya yun iniisip ko from hard starting to servo problem does it have a connection? Napapaisip ako pinasok ko sa casa ang problema is hard starting paglabas naging grabe pa ata ang problema start nga siya bigla naman namamatay and sometimes it will happen pag nasa kalye ka (abala!)

July 10th, 2014 08:59 AM #67Sirs goodmorning po. Our ride is a 2009 MS. For the past 2 days hirap siya mag start. Nung unang araw, nagpajump start ako sa vios. Nung second day, nagpajump start ako sa fortuner pero ayaw parin so we decided to switch batts para maistart ko lang si MS. I also checked the battery voltage and cleaned the contacts and had a shop assess it. Nagkakarga naman si alternator. The shop gave me a warranty sa battery namin and for the meantime gave us a service battery which upon connecting, nag 1click start si MS.
Last night, coming from a drive using the service battery, kapag pinatay ko engine and let it sit for a couple of minutes (5mins) and try to start it again, ayaw na mag start. Mag redondo lang siya and after a few tries, mag click nalang. Called my dad to jump start it and after 5 mins nag start na siya. This morning, i checked the battery wires and its warm to touch. Im somewhat sure that something is draining the battery. All electricals are original pa.
Ano po possible issues nito sir?

July 15th, 2014 07:20 AM #68Check mo sir starter solenoid... Ung contact nun Baka madumi.. At check mo na din ung starter relay at ground... Mas maganda direct mo muna ung starter sa bat pra malaman kung switch or sol problem okay

July 19th, 2014 05:03 PM #69May short sa electrical wiring ng kotse. Pa check mo sa auto electrician. Pwede mo test ito. Kapag magkabit ka ng Battery Terminal. Unahin mo muna kabit Bat - terminal. Then be sure naka off ang ignition key. Then temporary dikit mo yun Bat + Terminal sa + Battery post. Dapat walang malakas na spark.

Still waiting dun sa 3sm na original batt kasi wala pa daw yung pamalit kaya 2sm muna binigay sa akin.
