I'll try to notice the growling noise first .. hehehe.

If that doesnt work, I'll try hands-on on the weekend. Just to be sure I have lots of time to slowly disassemble / assemble everything. hehehe.

the hard way ,but its still easy, you have to take the alt out and open the back cover . now you will be able to test these parts.

i assume that you have a little bit of hands on , otherwise you have to bring that to an alternator shop for bench testing.
