sariling gawa na jumper cable
pang start ng 24V trucks and heavy machines
that's welding cable
more than enough for any starter we got hereLast edited by uls; July 15th, 2013 at 12:31 PM.

i have a black and decker jumpstarter kit (since A/T oto ko). instruction
nya is + to + (Jumpstarter kit to car batt)
then - to car chassis/solid body part.
reverse pag tapos na.
Boost Ampere: 375 instantaneous cranking amps (according to the manual).

Parang gets ko na kung bakit not recommended ang negative to negative terminal. May napanood ako sa Discovery Turbo (The Garage). Pekeng M3 ginagawa nila and namatayan ng battery sa shop kaya ni-charge muna. After a few minutes charging nagstart na so tinanggal na ng mekaniko ang clips ng charger. Biglang BOOM!
So if nasa block or body ang ground connection mo pagtanggal less chances mag-ignite dahil malayo sa battery.

Last edited by [archie]; July 15th, 2013 at 01:06 PM.

when you're charging a battery using a charger the battery gets warm and the battery acid will bubble and you'll smell acid vapor
but that doesnt happen immediately after you connect the charger. it takes several minutes before that happens
connecting a good battery to a dead battery is like connecting a battery charger to the dead battery. it's not gonna make the dead battery charge up agad and release vapor
so it's unlikely a spark will cause the dead battery to explode

use body ground all you want
like cathy did. she followed step by step instructions pero di niya na-start car niya. may nagsabi tuloy stuck-up na makina niya
so what went wrong?
in those few seconds kukulo ba ang battery acid at magrelease ng vapor? i doubt it

July 15th, 2013 01:36 PM #129Anlake!
Dapat well ventilated. Hydrogen buildup nangyari.
The larger, the more current could pass.
As a general rule based fron nabasa ko - gauge 6 for small cars, extending the length increases the resistance so u have to increase the gauge, the bigger/shorter the better.Last edited by 12vdc; July 15th, 2013 at 01:40 PM.

IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
