How often should I start my car to prevent my battery from draining?

Wala pa kong smart charger at nasa monthly pay parking lang nakapark kaya pag weekend, nilababas ko sya at umiikot ng ilang laps around Pasig City Hall at Mega Market para macharge yung battery.

I’m using a smart car charger already bro.

Yun kay doc kasi parang yun old design na car charger that’s why I’m asking kung kailangan pa tanggaling sa makina ang batt to charge it [emoji846]

i just clamp on to the battery terminals.
no need to disconnect anything.

tanchado ko na ang time needed. the estimates are painted onto the charger's casing. i halve the recommended time, and let the analog ammeter guide me. when the needle is near-zero, the battery is near-full-charge.
for ease of bantay, i do it during the daytime.
i have used it mostly to revive a dying battery, enough to start the car and drive to the battery store.

un-bantayed trickle charging?
not with this charger, i don't. unlike the more exotic chargers, i can't control its output.
for trickle charging, one should get the intelligent chargers.

Before you start throwing parts in, rule the batt out 1st, fix that terminal. Should both be fine & the charge is still off, then you can get into the contacts, cables, ground & alternator.
Most modern cars have a replaceable electronic voltage regulator(pics below are a Denso unit).If that's the fault, it'll be easy & hobo. And, while the alt's out, you might wanna replace the bearings & brushes, too....granting the winding is good.

baka naman, poor electrical contact lang.
either your clamp is loose, or your clamp-to-battery cable connection is poor.
either way kasi, excessive heat may be generated.

addendum:
a defective alternator charging system, will result in a battery that may be too weak to start any car it is transplanted to.
and it will probably be too weak to cause connectors to melt.
