Not a product endorser nor seller, but CTEK has been an OEM partner to premiums like Porsche, Merc to name a few. Cadex, too. Assurance & mind peace for a 1-time expense gadget....makes good sense, think not?
CTEK and Cadex partnership

April 20th, 2020 01:36 PM #97nag-melt!!
baka naman, poor electrical contact lang.
either your clamp is loose, or your clamp-to-battery cable connection is poor.
either way kasi, excessive heat may be generated.
addendum:
a defective alternator charging system, will result in a battery that may be too weak to start any car it is transplanted to.
and it will probably be too weak to cause connectors to melt.
good luck.Last edited by dr. d; April 20th, 2020 at 01:54 PM.

Before you start throwing parts in, rule the batt out 1st, fix that terminal. Should both be fine & the charge is still off, then you can get into the contacts, cables, ground & alternator.
Most modern cars have a replaceable electronic voltage regulator(pics below are a Denso unit). If that's the fault, it'll be easy & hobo. And, while the alt's out, you might wanna replace the bearings & brushes, too....granting the winding is good.
Good luck, sir.

Bought CTEK 5.0 last year. Already helped a couple of friends and relatives by letting them borrow it because their car wouldn’t start. I also used it because I stupidly left the accessory on in our Mazda. And now with the coronavirus problem, we don’t have to worry about battery related starting problems, unless it’s really worn out.

April 20th, 2020 02:21 PM #100years ago, someone borrowed our old battery charger.
it was one of the powerful ones. heavy. it could start the car by its own, without help from the battery.
it hasn't been returned it. i had since forgotten who borrowed it.
bumili na lang ako ng cheapie-cheapie.
it gets the work done of charging the battery, enough to start the car.
sigh.
agree ako syo. battery dying will be the next owner's problem. kaso the only reason I'm buying...
