"Click", "cronk", (1 second pause), "cronk", (1 second pause), "cronk", (1 second pause), "cronk" yung tunog pag sinusubukan kong i-start ulit. During this time, napansin ko na 12-13v naman yung naka-indicate sa volt meter at gumagana pa lahat ng ilaw ko.
Possible kayang may problema na sa alternator?

Pa check mo muna battery connection, then the starter, baka ubos na ang mga carbon or nag seize na yun bearings.

Base on your story. You have no problem with your alternator.

Judging by the age of your battery it is nearing its useful life. Time to change, so as to spare you future inconvenience.

Going back to your description. Your starter is the culprit. Have it check by a reputable auto electrician.

September 21st, 2008 01:50 PM #6Update ko lang ito..
Went to Rey Electrical yesterday to have my problem diagnosed. Tama si Good Mechanic, starter nga ang problem. The (first?) bushing inside the starter was already worn out and that causes a metal to metal contact when you try to start the car.
They also replaced the field coil dahil sunog na raw. Total cost = 1300.
Thank you!
