February 12th, 2014 07:51 PM #1Baka meron na naka experience sa inyo. My ride is a 1994 lancer glxi. Last monday, on the way to work all is normal..but when a bus suddenly swerved in front of me, napa preno ako bigla at sabay busina..biglang namatay yung makina. akala ko medyo nabigla lang so i started the engine..okay naman. it happened again sa buendia, ng may taxi nag cut so preno sabay busina, namatay ulit. i called my friend na mechanic at pareho din kami ng car. sabi sa akin, same problem daw kami at pinalitan nya yung hydrovac nya. so that's what i did, since 20 years na rin yung car at di pa napalitan yung hydrovac. but when i changed yung hydrovac, satisfied naman ako kasi mas malakas na ang preno nya at kahit biglain ko pag preno okay sya. little did i know, sa busina pala..nung may tumawid bigla na pedestrian at bumisina ako ng 5 seconds biglang namatay ulit makina. pumarada ako sa shoulder tapos pinatay ko aircon at binusina ko ulit for 5 seconds, bumaba ang rpm hangang namatay makina. i went to my suking electrician..pinalitan namin busina. ganun pa din ang issue, we isolated the electrical line tapos dinerekta nya sa battery yung busina para gumana pero namatay pa rin makina. di ko alam kung ano problema, all is normal idling, lights, etc..wala ako check engine. may volt meter ako sa car nag cha charge naman alternator, hope you can help me mga sirs. thanks in advance.

Mukhang pinaparusahan ka ng oto mo sa pagbabad sa busina. 5 seconds is too long.

Seriously, check the horn relay. Must be a grounded contacts or sorts of leak in the horn wiring..

o kaya magpainstall ka ng air horn na lang yung mga binebenta bago mag new year na tig P20. walang hassle sa electrical system mo yun. hehe
kidding aside, mayrong problema nga sa circuit ng horn. usually sa load circuit. patingin mo na lang uli kay manong electrician. battery, fuse, relay, switch at load (horn) lang naman ang components ng horn circuit...

February 12th, 2014 08:51 PM #5Para ma-isolate mo yung steering wheel switch at horn relay, lagay ka ng separate relay and switch. Negative triggered, temporary kabit mo micro-switch/push-button sa dash using duct tape, then simulate mo ang 5 secs beeeep.. Kung resulted to same prob, yun namang main wire papunta busina ang palitan mo.. Kung lahat mo na napalitan at same prob, baka mahina na ang alternator brush at palyado na rin ang battery mo..

sir dapat hindi po busina pinalitan mo. yung auto tapos kinabit mo yung lumang busina sa bagong auto. joke hehehehe.
sir, agree ako kay boss manila block its either the alternator and/or the battery.

yung busina mo ba hindi yung air horn type na may air pump pa?
may ganun ako dati mas malakas pa sa bus bumusina... binabad ko din hanggang nasira air pump

Baka nga pwede pangalingan ay yung battery, kasi 3 years na mahigit..and yung alternator ko the last time i have it checked was 5 years ago. by the way, hindi na po pinabili sa akin ni manong electrician yung bagong busina, kasi same issue pa rin..balik ako old horn (hella-snail horn). Maraming salamat po..
