Cooler with ice and salts lang pwede na siguro. 10 hours yung trip namin balikan kasi.

I'm planning to buy a small chest freezer at ilagay ko sa van ko for long road trips tipong 3 cu.ft. in size.

    Thanks
you should've included the power characteristics of that freezer (ie. voltage, current, watts / power, etc.).

    assuming the ref is rated 220Vac, 150Watts, 1Ph, 60Hz:
you will need a single phase inverter:
Continuous output power: at least 500 Watts
dc input / operating voltage: 10 to 15 Volts *
Output voltage: 240 Volts ac *
    Output frequency: 60 Hz +/- .05 Hz *
(*) ratings usually used by american made inverters

of course. refs / freezers are supposed to be plugged- in 24hrs a day. mas lalo sigurong madadali ang buhay niya
kung araw- araw eh on- off- on- off. kapag umaandar ang vehicle, siyempre umaandar rin ang alternator.
cmiiw, the alternator helps your battery to power up the electricals on your car, that includes the inverter.
madi- diskarga agad ang baterya mo if your engine is not running and the power of your inverter is coming directly
    from the battery. hth.
