24 months lang talaga maximum functional life ng battery. After that, abang-abang na. Masisira na nyan anytime. Yung sakin nasira last week. 66 din ang size. P8,000 sa Motolite. Meron ba Panasonic nito?

as bratpaq says, have it checked sa battery shop.
sometimes, the problem is not the battery, but the charging system... defective, or natatalo ng electrical needs..
the alternator is weak or circuits are defective (wear and tear).. the alternator brushes need replacement (cheap lang 'to!).. you had too many electric toys running at the same time for some time.. your aircon was on..

if you are thinking of upgrade, see first if the bigger size will fit. personally, i see no need for upgrade. on the other hand, i downgrade to lighter battery. i have no electrical toys other than what the car came with. and after many years, i see no difference in battery lifetime.. gas and diesel. in fact, i have been using gas batteries in my diesel vehicle, with no shortened lifetime.

but yess... your battery sounds like it is ready for replacement.

Thanks po sa mga inputs.. feeling ko nga sinasabi na ni enduro na anytime soon mg papahinga na sya.. and when that happens ayoko abutan sa kalsada. ngyari narin sakin to dati, hard starting.. ni ignore ko.. ayun bigla namatay nlng, buti sa bahay inabot. when motolite boy check the old batt totally drained pero sabi nya oks nmn alternator. first time ko mag enduro kasi wala ako budget at that time.. gold sana kaso mahal. natapos nmn yung 15mos nya.. sumobra pa nga.. pero i was hoping ma stretch pa kasi again wala budget for a new batt.
after the jump start gumana nmn, pero naisip ko hindi pwed lagi jump start nlng kapag namatayan diba? so commute muna then i'll buy pag may budget na.. bka enduro ulit.. pag may extra bka gold. sa ngaun nag start sya.. kaso ayoko na isapalaran.. lalo na trafik mode dahil sa APEC.

Bosch Silvers we use normally last at least 5 years.

When Nissan replaced the stock GS battery (that went dead in just a year), they replaced it with Motolite Gold. Ayaw ko sana kaso yun lang supplied.

So pagkatapos ng warranty, I'll replace it with Panasonic or Bosch. Nakakatakot kasi ang unreliable na battery kasi Automatic ang gearbox ko, di pwede push-start.

no matter what battery is used, eventually, it's going to die. so what we should do, is to prepare for the eventuality.
    1. push-starting a MT is always an option. learn how to do it. if AT, see #2 & #3 below.
    2. consider jump-starting using jumper cables. some taxis do this for additional income.
    3. have a battery charger at home. the heavy-duty ones can even start your vehicle.
    4. replace your battery every two years or so, regardless of its condition. don't wait for it to signs of age.
    5. save up for a new battery. it's a sure that you will need to buy one, so put aside money for it.

motolite? oriental? amaron? bosch? the more people using it, the more there will be complaints.
the fewer people using it, the less complaints it will have.
    it's plain statistics.

    my opinion.
    good luck.

    just a correction...

    1. push starting is no longer allowed on some MT... example the vios, said on the users manual
    2. good idea! but there is a need learn the correct way to do it or face the consequence of an explosion due to hydrogen gas generated by a batt being charged...
    3. yes a battery charger is a good idea, but not just any battery charger, you must have a smart battery charger which can measure the health of the batt compared to low tech that just push charge to a dying batt...
    4. this is a big NO, its 2015 already, we now have computerized battery tester which can determine the state of health of batteries, not compared in the old days where we use the load tester (aka the toaster), dito lang sa pinas hindi madalas ginagamit ang computerized tester, kasi benta na maging bato pa (need lang pala i-recharge)
    5. yup, this is a correct idea, always save up yo maintain your vehicle, you never know whats ahead...

battery ko pala is outlast brand, 1sn, purchased dec 2012 * 3000 pesos with trade-in

    its nov 2015 na, 2yrs 11 months = 35 months

    P3000/35 moths = P85/month

died twice na sa akin, 1st left for 3 weeks with out use nung 26th month nya, wont start, after jump start and driving for 130km on a weekend ok na siya
2nd time it died, nung pang 28th month niya... wont start, after jumpstart and driving again for 130Km on a weekend ok na ulet siya

thats the time i boght a C-tek smart charger, now every 3 months full charge ko siya and it never fails me again... pina test ko sa digital tester, 70% pa state of health niya...

short distance lang kase gamitan ko, 11km per day for 5days round trip, kaya malakas kumain ng starter motor...

OT: kung maayos lang public transpo, i ride it and give up this vehicle, laki savings sa public transpo

^ pero some people will think i did the wrong thing, because the c-tek smart charger cost more than a new battery... but what i gained is experience, plus save the environment somewhat kase na rerecycle naman ang lead acid battery kaya i dont know if na save ko nga ba ang environment or not on not buying a new batt?

    noted, sir!
    rebuttal...
    1. vios, you're off my list! only jurassic cars for me... heh heh.
    2. "practice, daniel san!". there really IS great fear, that first time.. nightmares of cables catching fire, to batteries blowing up, to your busina causing a shameless riot...
    3. i use the charger just so i can get the engine started. yes, just push-charge. nothing hi-tech. once started, the car goes to the battery store. my current experience, is that when my battery gets weak, it is because it is dying and needs replacement. (except for once.. when my alternator failed.. which the battery shop easily picked up and was honest enough to tell me... iba siguro talaga kapag official brand distributor. so i just drove off to the alternator shop a few meters away.)
    4. i occasionally get a free ride from my colleagues. so i do not dare dream of giving them a piece of my mind.. besides, i know they will still just replace their battery q 2 anyway , and i lose my free ride...

and no, sir. i do not think you did "the wrong thing".
we all have different levels of understanding on our vehicles. so we imply act according to that level of understanding. some do it the "scientific way", because we understand what it is we are doing. others prefer the shotgun method, because they either do not understand, or because they do not want to be hassled.

    happy driving, all!
