Oo nga, kinulang ako ng 'e'. Hehe!

Silicone grease is most recommended kasi di matutunaw at kakalat basta dahil sa init ng engine bay, unlike petroleum based grease.

Is it true that when your car is often park outside with sunlight it will shorten the life of your battery?

High temperature degrades your battery. The heat produced by sunlight is lower than the heat generated by the engine. If your hood has insulation, no need to worry about the heat due to sunlight.

Battery life would depend on use. I am averaging 4 to 5 years use, but only 45 to 1 hour cumulative use daily and occasional long trips. When I sense the battery is weakening, I do long trip travel, to fully charge the battery.
