Just to add up which happened to me recently, although hindi totally down yung alternator but a low voltage output. I have read from some car forums abroad that there could be a problem on the wire / cable coming from alternator to battery, which was confirmed by my trusted mechanic. The way to test it is to hold the mentioned wire / cable, masyadong mainit kung may problema yung wire. Then my mechanic measured the alternator output, which is still within the desired range while when measured in the cable / wire near the battery, the voltage is low. Thanks.
