    Wala pa ring benta ...

"2024 may be ticking down for most car brands, but not for Omoda & Jaecoo. Despite formally launching the brand in April at the Manila International Auto Show, O&J still has no retail sales to show for. And now, they’ve missed their September (and then October) start of retail sales target. Still, you got to hand it to them: they’re not going out with a whimper." In my opinion, probably the best AWD crossover under 2M. I hope you shopped around for the best discount. I heard you could get this under ₱1.6M these days, is it true?

Maybe for the RWD. Canvassed 3 dealerships, none quoted under 1.7m.

Got the car. I can honestly say it is really a value for money unit. Hopefully it will last for at least 10 years.

AFAIK, hindi under UAAGI, direct from OJ China daw ang OJPH, same or similar setup with tesla. Pero yeah, under Chery, "premium" brand DAW ng Chery

    Congratulations!

I am curious though, how much would the electric bill change for those with electric vehicles...
Maybe some member could post about it one of these days.

i vaguely recall some youtube posts, that they saved 40 percent in fuel versus electricity bills.

i almost bought an EV a coupla weeks ago, but i didn't like the color of the units they had in stock... black...
fat chance they can give me a white now.

A subcompact ICE crossover with a 44L tank cost ₱2,640 to fill up prior to the Iran War. With an average theoretical mileage of 10km per liter, you are looking at a range of 440 km.

A comparable sized-EV will likely have a 60 kWh battery. "Filling that up" using MERALCO is ₱780 pesos. Range is typically 400km for EV's like this.

Savings is 70%, more or less, per "full tank".

Per km cost of the ICE crossover will be ₱6. The EV will be ₱1.95 per km. Difference is 67.5%.

With prices after the Trump and Netanyahu war on Iran, savings are much much larger.

Saw a bunch of them (test drive units) circling the PIMS venue last month. Saw one last night at a stop light, stands out in traffic.
