After almost 6 days of owning the Coolbear and driving it for more than 500 kilometers, what can I say about it?
I am impressed!
The first time I saw the Coolbear, it struck me as something cool. Now that I own one, I have definitely fallen in love with it. The shape is unique and unconventional. Something that I do not usually see in our streets. And whenever I go, it never fails to attract stares with the “ohhh” and the “ahhh”. Then, stares turn into big smiles of favorable liking. The interior is elegant looking and far from being plasticky. The trims of silver on the dashboard adds to its refined and tasteful design. Displays are simple yet clear. The bright white display is perfect at night. Compartments are everywhere. I can easily store my CDs, sunglasses, pens, mobile phones, MP3, etc. in multiple storage areas.
Both front seats are designed comfortably well. Fabric design on both seats and door panels is also a plus! Storage space in the trunk is more than enough. I went to Tagaytay with my family (total of 4 adults and a kid) for a swim. With all the swimwears and the “chichirias” and “baon” in the trunk, we were still able to shop around the usual Tagaytay items....fruits, vegetables and some potted plants. Now that is what you call space.
Doors of my Coolbear gently open and close. Though I had problems with the trunk door the day I got my ride. I took it back to the dealer the following day. The service personnel had to adjust something and voila...it worked perfectly.
Driving the Coolbear is so much fun. When one sits in front, it gives you the best possible view. Large and unobstructed windshield. Truly the best safety feature! Reverse back up sensor (4 sensors) is such a big help especially parking in tight areas. Works well for me!
The ride is very comfortable and smooth. Tried flooring the pedal for a while and it responded well while maintaining a nice ride. I did not try checking how fast it would go as the Coolbear manual prohibits to go beyond 100 km/h during the first 1000 kilometers.
As expected, it took me a while to get used to the CVT engine. Yes, it makes some sound! Yet, this is normal for this type of transmission.
Fuel consumption? Based on my experience, it does a 8-9 kilometer (city and highway driving) per liter as of now (break in period). But the manual says it usually improves after this (break in) period.
But above all these positive experiences with my Coolbear, what makes me even happier is the fact that Great Wall North Edsa is giving me the best after sales service from any car dealers I ever dealt with. The night I got my ride (yes, I got my ride at around 10pm; immediately getting it after I arrived from the airport), my Sales Agent checked on how I enjoyed driving it home. And whenever I had questions (like the trunk problem), they were all ready to help me. I just send them an SMS and soon, someone from the dealership will call me in a jiffy. I did not buy a Phantom Rolls Royce nor a Gallardo Lamborghini yet they make me feel like that.
So what more can I ask for?
I guess the Coolbear is such a good buy for me. With its price and the features it has (projector headlights, inlay turning signal light, LED tail lights, ABS & EBD, dual airbags, steering wheel audio control, headlight levelling device, reverse back up sensor, etc.) added to the best after sales service from GW North Edsa, I can only say one thing....PANALO!

someones are (at last!) loudly asking, "why did they turn off the countdown timers?"
