bro sa pagkakaintindi ko sa chart ng api oil 10w = pwede sa lowest outdoor temp na 0deg C, http://www.aa1car.com/library/API_ratings.pdf
at ang 30 naman lagpas pa sa 40degC otside temp.
di porke 30 ay 30degC na ang max na kaya nito.

raine is right. the SAE numbers do not directly represent the temperature but rather the oil viscosity. for example: 10w40- the 10 represents the thickness of the oil at 0 degrees celsius and the 40 represent the viscosity in warmer climates above 70 degrees celsius. please check your owner's or service manual and do not rely on hearsay from your "mechanics" who barely graduated from high school

so what brand of oil can i use that meets the API and SL - ILSAC classification or exceeds. i want to use the oil in SM category that have an oil viscosity of 10 W-30, any suggestions?

para saan sasakyan mo ba gagamitin? kung hindi ka naman namimili ng brand meron ang honda VTEC LEV 10W-30 nakakabili nityo sa CASA ang mineral oil nasa 8++ pesos / galoon. gawa ng idemitsu

para sa optra po, mas preferred ko yung shell, mobil 1 or castrol kaso di ko po alam kung na exceed ba nila ung requirement. ano po kaya

kung ganyan brand ang gusto mo, marami sa ACE harware kaya lang medyo mahal, kasi ako specs ang tinitignan ko di brand, well kanya kanya tayo.
