ung mga cases of nasisira ang thermostat ng optra dati is because of nauubusan ng coolant na di napapansin ng owner. di napapansin kasi wala namang leaking nakikita.

The culprit is this, the PLASTIC small tube na galing sa radiator which is connected by a hose that returns to the coolant reservoir!
if you are facing the hood, what i'm talking about is nasa top right ng radiator.

kumuha ng kunting sand to mix with epoxy para mas kumapit yung metal tube to the radiator. then ginamitan ng devcon para sigurado.

halos lahat ng material for the radiator like the top cover is made of plastic. kahit ano model or brand puro plastic na gamit. di naman basta basta natutunaw ito unless lagi mataas temp.

The parts being made of plastic is not the issue. I think it's likely that the particular plastic used was substandard or is not designed for tropical weather. It may not be rated for extremely high temperatures typical of an engine's cooling system.

Most modern cars nowadays use a lot of plastic parts on the engine without any problems; radiator, valve cover, intake manifold, etc. These help to reduce the overall weight of the vehicle as well as to reduce manufacturing cost.

that small tube from the radiator is connected by a hose that is supposed to return to the coolant reservoir.

i'm only doing this to warn and help other people, kasi nakita ko na ano nangyari sa kaibigan ko.
small diskarteng pinoy kesa gumastos ka ng malaki if ang masira is thermostat o makina na mismo.
there's nothing wrong kung ma check niyo to kahit anong unit mapa chevy or etc.

Pure distilled water runs cooler than 50/50 mixture of coolant and distilled water, Coolants are so overrated....

If napapansin niyo mabilis maubos coolant/distilled than usual...
