August 24th, 2012 12:45 AM #21top of the line variant is priced like that of the Vios and the City, but both its competitors have bigger engine displacements than the Sonic. Let's just wait for the final specifications of the Sonic if the price is really justified.

Parang Rio lang, small engine, with a little less toys. Hopefully the small engine actually equates to good fuel economy.

Based on the brochure, the unladen weight for the 1.4 MT sedan starts at 1173kg, 1.4 AT starts at 1200kg.
Its a bit on the heavy side (by B-segment standards), some 30kg heaver than a 1.4 liter Rio sedan (MT & AT) and much heavier than a Honda City 1.5 AT (1147kg)

It's not the lightest of its class, sure, but still performs decently. Also, considering the Honda City is not aimed to developed markets like the Aveo/Sonic, it's not so overbuilt to meet NHTSA standards...
