Unfortunately, they did not inspect the car! They just based it on the mileage and they already have these items as “mandatory”. Probably they’ll just reduce then items if they still find the original ones still ok or if the customer won’t opt for the replacement. But still, daya di ba, what if the customer is not knowledgeable of what’s mandatory or not.

Warranty will lapse in a few months time. I’ll just have the PMS done outside casa, with the exception of timing belts etc. but I’ll have it inspected anyways.

You can just scratch off 8-14 and have it inspected instead of replaced. Check sa manual if you need to replace #7 / drive belt for 50k.

Which dealership is this? Medyo ripoff siya.

If they insist on replacing #8-14 without inspecting the car, lipat ka ng dealership. Again, not sure on #7 (drive belt). Please consult your manual for that one.

Replacing the pulleys is normally done when they are worn, same with the water pump.

Laki ng kinikita nila sa unsuspecting customers. No wonder chevy has a bad rep here. Never kami inalokan ng ganiyan for 'preventive' maintenance for our japanese vehicles...

In the casa, if they wanted to inspect the timing belt and the drive belts, the labor costs alone will be similar to replacing them.

For peace of mind tho, just replace the timing belt and drive belts, idler pulleys etc. Since, pag naputol sila, sira makina.

    Replace 7-13
    Take a gamble with 14.

    But ur call.
Succeeding pms, have it done outside. Basta every 60k kms, do 7-13.

Hold on... Check ur manual, timing belt supposed to be at 80k kms.
Drive belts can be at 60k kms.
If u tell them to inspect, they'll tell u, manipis na, without really inspecting. Of course ninipis vs bago, kasi ginagamit.

in my case, done doing the all belts and pulleys/pumps at 95k ODO reading (manual says 60k or 3yrs whichever come first).
    - all parts were provided by me from Thunder Banawe except for those not available at that time (most listed parts below are much cheaper here though that was 2017). my casa is chevy dagupan under laus group (NO "corkage" fee on all parts brought in)
    - recommend to replace both belts together and its accessories to avoid double labor charge
    - there's a "SPECIAL TOOL" used by casa to achieve the factory timing setting. strongly suggest to let casa do it for you.
    - IIRC, my all belts replacement plus PMS and labor cost was around 40k only which is much lower than your casa quoted amount.
    - sa 55k ODO reading ba ang OCI PMS mo? if i were you, i'll do the all belts replacement not together with the usual 10k OCI to "lessen" the total cost.

I know where you're coming from coz before disposing my 12 yrs old toyota , only the drive belt and pump were replaced and my 8 yrs old honda's drive belt and accessories are still intact and good running condition.
It'll be included on my checklist for sure on my next car purchase if ever i'll go with the golden butterfly logo again.

Thank you so much guys for sharing your thoughts here; very helpful in coming up with a sound decision wrt the “pms” my car should have this round. I’m leaning towards delaying the change belts as per owner’s manual to 60k km. I’ll have another quotation from another dealer and non-casa shop just so I have comparison, I would know where to bring the major ones. Cheers!
