January 21st, 2008 02:47 PM #401Nope, parts for the Optra are still hard and expensive. we had a problem with our optra last year and the CASA didn't have the parts available. 1 month daw bago dumating plus it was expensive.
The new facelifted optra looks nice but can you see any of them plying the roads. i have only seen 1 since its introduction months ago. Its not a bad car but resale value is 1 of the lowest in the country. So very few people are buying it anymore, i think even corporations found out bout its high conusmption and choose the other brands.

February 18th, 2008 06:54 PM #404oh my,.... if thats real, then its a very very very big improvement in the looks department. the interior looks nice too, i hope those arent cheap plastics.. I also hope they improve the engines as well since I'm disappointed by the engine of the current optra.

February 19th, 2008 12:43 PM #406i heard some lemon cars about the optra.. but for me na swertehan lng cguro pag kuha ko..i owned 1.6L 2005 m/t which is the fuel consumption average 8-9km/l sometimes goes to 10km/l pa.. with full a/c. city driving and 16-18 long run. 3yrs old, no problem engine aside sa aircon lng which is sometimes amoy panis when u turn on in the morning. but d naman consistent minsan lng yung amoy..180km/h top speed ko i dunno if mag gain pa to..past problems na bunde yung left headlight bulb so i replace new one..wiring sa ilalim kinagat ng daga..
..and abnormal fuel gauge but its already fixed with the casa..not yet ive seen any rust in the car..i used petron extra unleaded ever since i brought the car..so totally im pretty much happy naman cuz d ako naka kuha ng lemon car ng chevy..thanks

February 19th, 2008 10:21 PM #407lucky for you carrotz, i guess since my optra belonged to the first batch then it had some problems... i have encountered most of the common complains like bad fuel comsumption.. i only get 6 km/L. Defective fuel pump. Defective CD changer. and i even had a defective washer motor for the windshield... Grrr... Only the fuel pump and washer motor got fixed. Coudn't replace the CD changer since it was already beyond the warranty period.
